Some furniture asks to be noticed. In Situ was created to do the opposite.
Inspired by places where architecture and landscape exist in quiet harmony, every piece is designed to feel as though it belongs—whether in a California canyon, a coastal residence, a mountain retreat, or a European villa.
The name In Situ means "in its original place."

designed to belong
Every piece begins with a simple question:
What would this look like if it had always been here?
Rather than competing with architecture, the collection settles into it—revealing the warmth of natural materials, softening strong lines, and allowing the room itself to remain the focal point.

a lifetime of making
Stephen Lasker has spent more than four decades making, sourcing, and building furniture around the world.
From industrial manufacturing to handcrafted upholstery, his career has been guided by a fascination with honest materials and the unexpected relationships between them.
In Situ is the culmination of that journey.

THE DESIGNER
about Stephen
Stephen Lasker has spent more than four decades making, sourcing, and building around the world. A free thinker and curator by nature, he's drawn to ideas, materials, and influences that shouldn't seem to belong together, yet somehow do.
That perspective has taken him from industrial manufacturing in Zimbabwe to furniture production in Indonesia, luxury residential design in Miami, and collaborations across five continents. Along the way, he's developed an instinct for finding harmony in contrast — pairing raw with refined, restraint with expression, and craftsmanship with surprise.
In Situ is his debut collaboration with House of CODA.
